So it's cold here. And there is snow.Lots and lots of snow.
There has been a significant amount of it on the ground for almost a week now.
It's been a balmy -16 at some points.
My power even went out for 8 hours on Sunday (I ducked out to have tea with a friend who had power and left Chris to shiver with the fur kids). The kids don't like the snow!! I attempted to get them to play with it, but it was a no go (we'll stay inside thanks).
True t0 form in BC everything is in chaos. Power is out all over the place. There are still pockets in Victoria (VICTORIA!!) that haven't had power since sunday morning. Of course the power is out on the gulf islands. Victoria has one snow plow (I think this is actually a true fact) therefore the roads are silly and so drivers are silly. The sidewalks are particularly exciting, with their 4 inches of solid ice (my thighs hurt)
I like the snow and I wish it would stay...but it won't...
(postscript~this post was a bitch. I had to re-write it three times because it just disappeared every time I went to post it, so of course it was way better the first time. You know what it is like to write a big long something, and then it all just disappears. You just don't have it in you at that point to do it all over again (cause you liked it the way it was the first time damn it) This post is way out of date at this point (by a week), though there still is snow and ice on the ground, but I am posting it anyway, if only to get it out of my hair)
